The Boston Saw & Tool Story

A Third-Generation Business Built on Quality and Service

How It Began

Boston Saw & Tool is built on three generations of machining know-how. It began with Henkel Boston, who oversaw the file room at furniture maker Hickory Chair in the 1940s and 1950s. It was there he learned the ins and outs of furniture making and industrial machining.

From a workshop behind his house to a larger block building, Henkel ran a one-man show until his son, Grady, joined to learn from his father and continue his proud legacy. When Grady's sons, Greg and Geff, graduated, both went to work in the family business, helping grow the simple shop into a large, new facility in the late 1980s.

Even though our business has gotten bigger, we never forget the simple lessons that Henkel taught - to continue learning, be customer-focused and always strive to be the best!
